Job Overview

As a Behavioral Support Specialist at APluscare LLC, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals receiving our services. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and executing behavioral support strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to create and implement individualized behavioral support services that adapt to the evolving requirements of clients while adhering to relevant service protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure that all behavioral support plans align with applicable legal standards and guidelines for each individual.
  • Provide training and guidance to Program Supervisors, Program Coordinators, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on the effective implementation of comprehensive behavior support plans under the supervision of the BCBA.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of behavioral strategies, making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and clinical staff to develop behavior intervention strategies in accordance with APluscare policies and the established program model.
  • Stay informed about current DHS/DDD regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a liaison among APluscare, clients, families, staff, and DDD/DHS personnel to facilitate a seamless continuum of care and support.
  • Coordinate with the IDT, clinical team, and other stakeholders to strengthen the integrity of behavioral support initiatives.
  • Conduct regular visits to residential programs to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of behavioral supports for clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by APluscare.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related field is required.
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, ABA, Special Education, or another approved discipline is acceptable.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Creativity and adaptability are vital for managing significant responsibilities.
  • Experience in diverse communities, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
  • Willingness to cooperate with licensing and departmental staff during inspections or investigations.
  • Completion of all required training with demonstrated proficiency is mandatory.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
