Job Summary

Aequor Healthcare Services is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees, ensuring seamless operation of our computer systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Desktop Support: Provide expert-level technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of technical problems.
  • Help Desk Operations: Manage and respond to IT support calls, service requests, and incident tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Infrastructure Management: Administer remote management tools, develop and deploy computer images, and manage software and OS installs and configurations.
  • Vendor Management: Act as an escalation point for outsourced help desk service providers and manage vendor relationships.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all support efforts in our ITSM system and maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Physical Requirements: Work in a standard office environment, requiring the ability to lift and relocate equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of progressive experience providing help desk and desktop support in an enterprise environment, with at least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of desktop/laptop technologies, including Windows OS's, office applications, imaging tools, BIOS updates, anti-virus, and security. Good understanding of computer and mobile device management tools, basic network support, VLANs, VPN, desktop firewalls, wireless, and cabling.
  • Certifications: Desktop related certification (MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7 or MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7) and network related certification (CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCENT) are preferred.

  • Education: High School degree is required.
