Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at The Rockridge Group. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients with computer hardware and software issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Deployment and Repair: Assist clients with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and basic IT-related issues.
  • Technical Support: Respond to dispatched assignments, troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, and provide regular feedback for ongoing improvements.
  • Asset Management: Manage assets, take detailed notes, and utilize CRM tools or applications to track customer requests and provide 100% closure within the CRM tool.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, work independently, and report progress to supervising managers.
  • AV Support: Support AV events and triage AV equipment issues.
  • Training and Certifications: Keep certifications and training updated.
Requirements:
  • Technical Experience: 3+ years of Windows and Mac experience within an L2 Deskside Support role.
  • Customer Service: Customer service experience and ability to work directly with customers.
  • Technical Authorization: CompTIA or equivalent technical authorization preferred.
  • Manufacturer Certifications: Technical authorization with one or more of the following manufacturers: Apple, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, ASUS preferred.
  • Education: Requires a sound technical background with a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a Service or IT environment.
  • Soft Skills: Good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, and excellent communication skills.
