Job Summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our clients, resolving complex software application issues and operating system modification requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating complex technical issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve technical processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Install, maintain, and repair hardware and software components, including monitors, keyboards, printers, and scanners.
  • Phone System Support: Install and provide technical support for phone systems, ensuring seamless communication for clients.
  • Software Installation and Training: Load and provide training on approved software applications, including operating systems, Microsoft Office, and in-house applications.
  • Hardware Replacement and Repair: Replace or repair defective hardware or damaged software packages, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Remote Access Support: Provide tutorials on how to access our system remotely using OWA, VPN, and/or Citrix.
  • Active Directory and Exchange Support: Create and manage Active Directory and Exchange user accounts, ensuring security and compliance.
  • SLA and KPI Management: Ensure all Key Process Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met, providing timely and clear communication to the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of proven experience in a desktop support or technical support role required.
  • Certifications: A+ and/or Network+ certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Expertise in standard computer hardware, software, video conferencing, and telephony technologies; strong knowledge of office operations and current technologies in communications, data entry, and file management.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Analyze and anticipate unintended consequences when making recommendations or decisions; escalate problems to the appropriate authority as needed.
