About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual to join our team as an Account Representative at Mariner Finance. As a key member of our sales and collections team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, meeting sales and delinquency targets, and growing your career with our industry-leading consumer finance organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide proactive solutions to customer problems, present loan solutions based on customer needs, and enthusiastically present all available sales products.
  • Loan Processing: Analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers, and process credit loan applications.
  • Delinquency Resolution: Proactively contact customers with past due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed expected individual and branch goals related to the sale of company products and services.
  • Compliance: Learn Federal, State, and Local Application Consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
  • Cash Handling: Maintain a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs with the ability to learn financial services programs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
  • Licenses: Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cash Handling Experience: Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
  • Education: Some college coursework.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, operate computer and phone systems, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee is required to be physically present in the office. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
