The Maintenance Director is an essential role focused on overseeing all aspects of facility upkeep and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for repairs, new construction, and equipment installation.
  • Supervise and train maintenance personnel, while managing services provided by external contractors.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with various departments and establish a proactive maintenance program.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including ordering and inventorying supplies and equipment.
  • Engage in community assessments by authorized agencies and create corrective action plans for any identified maintenance issues.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all resident care in compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Foster an environment of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and positivity.
  • Participate in ongoing training as required.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance within settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or commercial facilities.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including boilers and generators.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Ability to address common inquiries or concerns from customers and regulatory bodies.
