Position Overview:

Care is seeking a driven Legal Advisor to provide guidance on internet and e-commerce regulatory compliance matters, establish ongoing compliance frameworks, and manage the Company's litigation and investigation portfolio. The Legal Advisor will play a crucial role within the legal team and serve as a vital legal and business partner to internal stakeholders. Our legal experts possess exceptional judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities, allowing them to navigate legal and business complexities while delivering high-quality legal services and practical advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a collaborative business partner with internal teams, including sales, operations, procurement, and compliance.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to gain a comprehensive understanding of our brands' technologies.
  • Provide innovative legal counsel to facilitate timely product launches, collaborating closely with product managers to enhance legal review processes.
  • Work alongside brand teams to achieve business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
  • Oversee the implementation of corporate policies related to vendor security, privacy compliance, and contract approvals.
  • Coordinate with privacy and data governance teams to align efforts with corporate compliance goals.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all business lines and associated legal and safety issues.
  • Identify evolving regulatory challenges related to service offerings and devise compliance strategies.
  • Advise teams on legal and safety matters concerning Care's products and services.
  • Draft, negotiate, and provide guidance on various contractual documents, including customer agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Formulate negotiation strategies, clearly explain contract terms to internal clients, and engage in negotiations with external parties.
  • Support ongoing litigation and investigation efforts, including managing external legal counsel.
  • Effectively manage multiple deadlines and client expectations.
  • Assist in creating new contract templates to support service offerings and streamline legal workflows.
  • Lead and contribute to various legal team initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in law firms and/or in-house roles, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of laws relevant to internet platforms and e-commerce, including advertising, consumer protection, and privacy regulations.
  • Experience in litigation, including managing electronic discovery and conducting investigations.
  • Knowledge of contract law and strategic contracting approaches.
  • Exceptional negotiation and drafting skills with an awareness of contract language nuances.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver practical advice under pressure.
  • Ability to evaluate issues from both legal and business perspectives.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.

Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000 annually + 15% bonus

The salary range represents the anticipated national range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance.
