Position: Speech-Language Pathologist I

Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist I is responsible for conducting assessments and implementing therapeutic interventions for children experiencing challenges with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or hearing in various environments.

Department: Broomfield Speech Pathology

Employment Status: Full-Time - eligible for benefits
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Monday to Friday; options for five eights or four days available.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience with children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or have cochlear implants is required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in American Sign Language is preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Must possess a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA); credentialing must be finalized by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within three months of employment.

  • Population-Specific Care: Provide services for Neonates, Toddlers, Preschoolers, School-aged children, Adolescents, and Adults.
  • Core Functions: Engage in case management, collaborate with families and healthcare providers, lead professional development initiatives, and conduct diagnostic evaluations.
  • Cultural Competence: Integrate principles of cultural sensitivity and family-centered care into all clinical practices.
