Speech-Language Pathologist I

Position Overview:
  • The Speech-Language Pathologist I is responsible for conducting assessments and implementing intervention strategies for pediatric patients experiencing challenges with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or auditory processing.
  • This role is classified as an entry-level position within a structured Career Advancement Program (CAP).
Department:
Broomfield Speech Pathology

Employment Status:
Full-Time - eligible for benefits
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Monday to Friday; options for five eights or four days available

Qualifications Required:
  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
  • EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience working with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and/or those with cochlear implants is essential.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language is highly desirable.
  • CERTIFICATION(S): BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • LICENSURE: Must possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA); credentialing must be finalized by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within three months of starting employment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide population-specific care for Neonates, Toddlers, Preschoolers, School-age children, Adolescents, and Adults.
  • Perform essential functions including case management, collaboration with families and healthcare providers, leadership in professional development, and conducting diagnostic evaluations.
  • Incorporate principles of cultural competence and family-centered care into all clinical services.
