Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist I is responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments and implementing intervention strategies for children experiencing challenges with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or hearing across various service settings, including inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations in line with evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Develop and deliver tailored intervention services that respect cultural competence and family-centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and educational institutions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical, educational, and advocacy efforts within the department.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years working with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, with proficiency in American Sign Language preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license, with credentialing completed within three months of employment.
