Construction Inspector II

Job Summary:

The City and County of Broomfield is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector II to join our Public Works team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting systematic inspections of new construction projects to ensure compliance with city and county codes, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of new construction projects to identify any deviations from approved plans and specifications.
• Ensure that all construction activities are in compliance with relevant city and county regulations.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns.
• Document inspection results and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in construction inspections or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Class I Water Distribution Certification, Class I Wastewater Collection Certification, CAPA Asphalt Inspectors Certification, and ACI Concrete Inspectors Certification within one year of employment.

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically scheduled Monday through Friday, with some weekend and holiday work required.
• Required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Physical demands are described as medium (exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
