Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team at Research Group Inc. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our OEM customers and distributors, while meeting position objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits to effectively communicate with clients and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Business Development: Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and/or distributors to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
  • Market Analysis: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace to provide regular and/or monthly reports.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Account Planning: Assist divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and services required for assigned accounts.
  • Product Training: Provide product training at the distributor and customer levels to ensure effective product knowledge.
  • Sales Direction: Motivate and provide sales direction to distributors to drive sales growth.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a Technical or Engineering degree is ideal.
  • 5+ years of Account Management, Sales, Business Development, and/or Applications Engineering experience.
  • Ability to maintain relationships while developing new contacts within a large client.
  • Ability to sell direct to the end user; distributor management is a plus.
  • A working experience with Hydraulic and/or Fluid products is ideal.
  • Must have a proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels.
