Role Overview

In this position, you will collaborate with colleagues across various functions, including underwriting, risk management, portfolio management, and pricing actuaries.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting comprehensive credit risk assessments and financial analyses for a diverse range of corporate clients.
  • Making informed recommendations regarding credit limits in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Evaluating transaction structures and providing objective, risk-related insights on transactions and obligors.
  • Performing initial screenings and assessments of obligor risks as requested by Underwriters.
  • Monitoring credit exposures to gauge the potential impact of market fluctuations on specific obligors or portfolios.
  • Identifying high-risk entities and advising on watchlist placements.
  • Contributing to the data and technology-driven transformation of our Credit & Surety operations.
About the Team

The Credit Product Centre is a globally distributed team with a presence in multiple locations. We maintain direct connections with senior management across various departments, acting as the primary link for Credit & Surety with Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Finance, Claims, Actuarial, and IT.

We pride ourselves on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the methods and tools utilized for obligor and transaction risk assessments, as well as the timely oversight of our Credit & Surety portfolio.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is organized and adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines. You should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships in a diverse and multicultural environment. Your analytical skills should be both quantitative and qualitative.

Key Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years of experience in corporate credit risk analysis or a related field.
  • Strong credit risk assessment capabilities, particularly in the U.S. market, with the ability to apply these skills globally.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial spreading and projections.
  • Experience in evaluating obligor group structures and determining credit ratings with limited financial data.
  • Understanding of risks associated with international surety and trade finance.
  • Business degree and/or relevant qualifications in finance.
