QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Agricultural Finance is preferred, or at least 35 years of experience in Risk Management, with a strong understanding of the cattle feeding sector being a significant advantage, along with 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Proficient knowledge of cattle and commodity accounting systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access.
- Capability to read and interpret various documents.
- Skill in performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
- Support with financial closeouts and customer interactions.
- Aptitude for resolving practical issues and managing diverse concrete variables in various situations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Risk Management Specialist for a dynamic Kansas-based Feedyard operation. This role involves identifying potential risks that may impact the company's financial stability, legal adherence, or overall reputation.
Responsibilities include engaging with company leadership, department heads, or legal teams, assessing operational protocols, employee data, and market trends, and delivering comprehensive reports to management.
A keen understanding of market dynamics is essential, including being mindful of expenses when procuring cattle and feed, as well as closely monitoring market conditions during sales.
The role encompasses risk management related to cattle, grain, carcass data, and financial closeouts, all within a family-oriented company that values long-term employment.BENEFITS:
