About the Role

As a key member of our Surveillance and Risk Analysis Department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Bank's senior management and supervisory functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor banking industry performance and emerging risks, preparing concise written summaries and presentations for staff and senior management.
  • Contribute to and/or lead departmental quantitative responsibilities through the creation and maintenance of tools and reports designed to monitor banking institutions.
  • Leverage knowledge of current financial trends and risks facing the banking industry to create insightful presentations and speaking notes for senior management external engagements.
  • May support or participate in a limited number of bank examinations and bank holding company inspections.
  • May participate on Federal Reserve System groups reviewing regulatory and industry matters.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of six years' relevant experience or a minimum of four years' relevant bank examiner experience.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in economics, business, or finance.
  • An ideal candidate will display a great deal of initiative and agility in their analysis of complex subject matter, with an appetite for finding creative and innovative ways to solve problems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience delivering messages to large audiences and/or executive management.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and the banking industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to apply, interpret, and explain complex financial and/or quantitative concepts, as well as the ability to analyze the potential impact of financial shocks, stress, or regulatory changes.
  • Some proficiency and a desire to work heavily with MS Excel (particularly macros/visual basics), Tableau, and SQL. Experience with R and/or Python is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are a plus but not required.
Additional Information

This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed.
