Environmental Services Team Leader

Position Overview:
AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a qualified individual for a supervisory role on the 3rd Shift.
This position requires a commitment to working a regular third shift schedule, which includes:
- 4:30 pm – 1:00 am (Regular Schedule)
- 6:30 pm – 3:00 am (4 times per month)
Role Summary:
The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services program, ensuring that the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitized, organized, and visually appealing manner. This role includes both hands-on duties and the delegation of tasks to team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two (2) years of experience in a role such as Environmental Services Technician or Janitorial Supervisor
- One (1) year of experience in a leadership capacity
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations to ensure effective workflow.
- Develop schedules, assess procedures, and recommend service enhancements for patients, visitors, and various departments.
- Assist in evaluating staffing requirements to fulfill operational demands.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments of tasks performed by Environmental Services (EVS) personnel.
- Ensure that EVS staff utilize the Bed Tracking System effectively, working closely with nursing staff to turnover rooms and complete assigned tasks. Provide training, coaching, and in-service education as necessary.
- Communicate any equipment repair needs to the Engineering department.
- Occasionally engage in cleaning tasks, including flood response and disinfecting patient areas.
- Manage the procurement of supplies essential for daily EVS functions.
- Perform additional duties as required.
