Environmental Planning and Project Management Expert

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is a leading provider of environmental consulting services throughout California, seeking to hire a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to oversee and lead various projects related to CEQA/NEPA and technical studies. This role will involve supervising junior staff, managing project development, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Development: Manage the preparation of complex CEQA/NEPA documents, including QAQC review, and oversee the development of project plans and schedules.
- Team Management: Oversee and train junior staff on CEQA/NEPA and other planning/environmental requirements, and act as the primary point of contact with clients.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure environmental regulatory compliance, and perform agency consultation as required.
- Business Development: Support business development, including proposal preparation, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.
- Education: BA/BS in environmental science, urban planning, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of related experience working in California, with private environmental consulting firm experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA, environmental regulations, and project management principles.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $84,000-$126,000, plus benefits and a generous bonus program.
