About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our product innovation efforts at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies that drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Strategy Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop hypotheses, and pursue those opportunities through proof-of-concept (POC) activity in an agile framework.
  • Development of Strategic Alliances: Identify and develop strategic partners for business development, including industry partners and other entities from other industries.
  • People Management: Accountable for unit personnel management, including long-term growth and development, promotions, short-term daily work schedule, and work-life balance.
  • Resource Management: Accountable for assessing, requesting, and allocating labor and financial resources to meet the company's goals within the group's area of accountability.
  • Communication: Keep team members, management, and others in the company informed on the progress and direction of the group's efforts.
  • Coordination: Direct the activities of related teams towards common goals across Honda companies in North America.
  • Budget Management: Track and report unit financial metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on product innovation and strategic growth.
  • Experience in developing financial and business models, financial forecasts, negotiating business terms and conditions, contracts, and business administration.
  • Experience in a coordination role, with a focus on people management and resource allocation.
  • Experience in business development, product development, sales & marketing, and project management.
  • Proficiency in communication and productivity software, project management software, and flow chart software.
