Position Overview

  • ROLE SCOPE:

The Grants Manager at S:US will collaborate closely with the Director of Grants Administration, providing essential support to the Grants Department. This role involves overseeing a segment of SUS's grants and funded initiatives, working in conjunction with various financial, budgetary, and program service functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grants Management and Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and submit funding claims and budgets through various platforms, ensuring adherence to funder requirements.
  • Oversee contract budgets and assess program performance on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain Profit & Loss and grant-related accounts, regularly reviewing expense allocations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Assist in responding to audit inquiries under supervision.

Reporting and Financial Analysis

  • Evaluate the financial performance of programs.
  • Project revenue and expenses accurately.
  • Ensure timely completion of reports and necessary correspondence.
  • Analyze outcomes and provide insights to senior management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and testing of ERP systems.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in grants management and public sector funding.
  • Familiarity with grant and contract reporting, as well as OMB requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of experience in social services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics - NAV and budgeting/planning software.
