About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Staff Accountant for a full-time and direct hire role with one of our amazing partners in Georgia. This is a hybrid role that requires strong leadership skills, deep financial expertise, and a willingness to work within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accrual and prepaid accounting ledgers, prepare journal entries, and review monthly activity in the general ledger.
  • Review and reconcile various balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Prepare detailed analytics to support account balances on the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Help develop process improvement recommendations for accounting procedures and practices.
  • Use NetSuite to complete bulk check uploads and one-off check printing.
  • Prepare and review client invoices.
  • Conduct A/R aging analysis.
  • Act as the account manager for Ramp bill pay and expense software and VersaPay/Solupay for credit card collections.
  • Work with the Controller and CFO to help with the annual budget process and continuous budget review.
  • Enter wire transfers in bank website.
  • Help with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Create quarterly board reports and monthly lender reports.
  • Prepare weekly enrollment reports for company distribution.
  • Maintain business licenses.
  • Generate all 1099s.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Solid operational and technical accounting skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is needed, but a master's in business administration is a plus.
