Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and identify and correct any outstanding variances.
  • Prepare corporate required reports, including the Monthly Operating Report, Monthly Certifications, Corporate Disclosures, and Forecasts.
  • Develop and implement accounting and business office policies and internal controls to ensure a clean audit with no material audit adjustments or deficiencies.
  • Direct the operations of the Revenue Cycle to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable and minimize uncompensated care.
  • Strive to achieve goals for cash collections and AR days, and reduce bad debt and denials.
  • Review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance.
  • Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place, including insurance verification, patient portion determination, and upfront collections.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payment and revenue deductions.
  • Facilitate preparation of required cost reports.
  • Supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, Materials Management, and other departments as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field with a major in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting, with previous behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred.
  • CPA or Master's degree a plus.
  • Proven financial analysis skills and experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages, including Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility staff, physicians, and corporate staff.
