Key Responsibilities
  • Investigation and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough investigations of factory quality problems, customer and consumer complaints using a range of skills and techniques, including performance testing, seam evaluations, coating performance tests, microscopy and metallography, plant trials, and beverage/food processing simulation.
    • Provide clear and concise reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Work Request Management
    • Manage and record work requests using appropriate IT systems.
    • Prioritize work to ensure business needs are met and time is used effectively.
    • Work with the Technical Support Team to ensure all requests are dealt with and resources are allocated efficiently.
    • Liaise with other teams, departments, and external resources to ensure the root cause of a problem can be established.
    • Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
    • Regularly review work for value-added opportunities and update value-added reports.
  • Contribution to Wider Activities
    • Contribute to the wider activities of Materials and Crown Technology.
    • Take a proactive approach to environment, health, and safety and energy-saving initiatives.
    • Participate in development and innovation teams as required.
    • Full participation in workshops.
Requirements
  • Professional and Academic Qualifications
    • Degree in a science or engineering subject.
  • Previous Experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal/verbal communication skills.
    • Able to manage and plan multiple work requests.
