**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Histology leader to join our healthcare team as a Histology Department Manager at KA Recruiting Inc.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Staff Supervision**: Oversee and mentor histotechnologists, histology technicians, and support staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • **Quality Control and Assurance**: Develop, implement, and monitor protocols for tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining to ensure high standards of quality control and quality assurance in all laboratory procedures.
  • **Operational Management**: Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample accessioning, processing, and documentation, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set by OSHA, CLIA, CAP, and other relevant agencies, and prepare and maintain documentation for inspections and audits.

**Requirements**

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Science.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent.
  • Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Histology experience.
  • Histology leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
