Position Summary: The Vice President of National Sales Strategy plays a crucial role within the Executive Team, tasked with achieving profit center sales and revenue objectives. This position involves the development and oversight of the Business Development team, ensuring a strong market presence for Brown & Brown through effective marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for meeting personal and team revenue targets.
  • Leads and mentors the business development team, providing training, performance evaluations, and corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Builds and maintains strong, positive relationships with key accounts.
  • Develops strategies for acquiring new business and retaining existing customers.
  • Stays informed about updates and changes in Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) regulations.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on MSP for the company when required.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations on MSP regulations to clients and at industry conferences.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to effectively respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), secure new business, and renew existing contracts.
  • Contributes articles for company and industry publications.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) regulations and the ability to create competitive solutions and operational processes that exceed client expectations.
  • Expertise in strategic planning.
  • Skilled in instructional design and adult education methodologies.
  • Exceptional presentation and platform skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MSP compliance or sales management roles.

Certificates and Licenses: A valid and unrestricted driver's license is required. This role may involve routine travel, necessitating the use of a personal or rental vehicle. A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record report and maintenance of minimum insurance coverage are prerequisites for this position.
