BEI Construction is in search of a Security Project Coordinator for our Security division. In this role, you will oversee the comprehensive direction, coordination, execution, and finalization of security system installation projects. Your focus will be on ensuring that projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards. This position will report directly to the General Manager of the division and will involve frequent travel to various job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate all activities to ensure timely, accurate, and budget-compliant project completion, adhering to established project management protocols.
- Engage in and/or facilitate the bidding process and lead initial project meetings.
- Oversee workload distribution and track customer delivery and installation progress.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with clients regarding change orders, deliveries, and on-site visits.
- Collaborate with purchasing staff for necessary equipment and material acquisitions.
- Plan, manage, and monitor project profitability.
- Conduct weekly project status reviews to identify challenges and implement solutions.
- Notify management of potential claims, back charges, or significant costs that may impact BEI financially on assigned projects.
- Ensure that any changes in scope, schedule, cost, or terms are managed according to established change order procedures.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project statuses and resource utilization.
- Prepare project reports as required.
- Maintain accurate records and files of project status and activities.
- Review all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoice preparation, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting.
- Travel as necessary to job sites.
- Manage all quality and safety issues related to customer work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the security sector is essential.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- A valid CA Driver License and a driving record that meets BEI standards are necessary.
- Ability to interpret construction and technical documents.
- Understanding of security system functionality and installation processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
