Position Summary & Responsibilities

The role involves active participation in the Aging Commission as a member of the Nursing Facility Program Team, focusing on daily analysis, responsibilities, and support functions related to nursing facilities, including those for mental health and individuals with intellectual disabilities. The primary responsibility includes conducting data analysis and evaluations specific to the Aging Commission's Quality Review initiatives. This position entails reviewing quality care assessment rates and payments, monitoring payment plan progress, and ensuring the accuracy of survey results presented for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Analysis, Evaluation, Reporting, and Modification: The incumbent organizes and directs the collection, analysis, and reporting of statistical, fiscal, and programmatic data to evaluate the effectiveness of Aging programs. This includes preparing detailed reports and recommending policy changes to enhance program performance.
  • Data Review and Monitoring: The role requires managing status logs for quality care assessment payments and collaborating with contractors to review annual survey results, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of various KDADS programs and policies.
  • Teamwork and Provider Relations: The incumbent serves as a backup to Aging Commission staff, ensuring continuity of workflow and providing technical assistance to providers regarding payment systems and survey policies.
  • Special Projects: The role may involve completing special projects and supporting agency staffing during emergencies or public health crises.

Qualifications:

  • Four years of experience in data collection, evaluation, or reporting, with educational qualifications considered as a substitute.
  • Preferred knowledge of research and statistical practices, strong communication skills, and experience with Medicaid programs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage stress, and meet tight deadlines.
