Position Summary & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage with the Aging Commission as a member of the Nursing Facility Program Team, focusing on daily analytical tasks and support functions related to nursing facilities, including mental health facilities and intermediate care programs. This role is primarily tasked with data analysis and evaluation to support the Aging Commission's Quality Review initiatives. Responsibilities include reviewing quality care assessment rates, monitoring payment plans, and collaborating with survey contractors to ensure accurate survey results.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Analysis, Evaluation, Reporting, and Modification:

The incumbent will organize and direct efforts in gathering, analyzing, and reporting statistical and programmatic data to evaluate the effectiveness of Aging programs. This includes preparing reports and visual data representations for various stakeholders, recommending policy changes to enhance program compliance and effectiveness.

Data Review, Monitoring, Management, and Status Reports:

Responsibilities include reviewing and managing spreadsheets that track quality care assessment payments, collaborating with contractors to present survey results, and utilizing independent judgment to develop analytical processes. The incumbent will also monitor demographic changes and their implications for Aging programs.

Teamwork, Research, and Provider Relations:

The role requires collaboration with Aging Commission staff to ensure workflow continuity and provide support in various program areas. The incumbent will serve as a point of contact for quality care assessment payments and provide technical assistance to providers.

Special Projects:

Additional duties may include participating in special projects and ensuring adequate staffing during emergencies. The incumbent will assist in training and providing information to various stakeholders regarding nursing facility payments and compliance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in data collection, evaluation, or reporting.
  • In-state travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of research and statistical practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Medicaid programs and qualitative analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree.
