Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation Services

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Rehabilitation Services to lead our rehabilitation program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our rehabilitation services, ensuring the highest level of care and support for our beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop the rehabilitation program, ensuring its integrity and effectiveness.
  • Provide direction to program staff, including intake, counselors, residential managers, and kitchen staff, to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement individual rehabilitation plans for beneficiaries, utilizing the program offered by The Salvation Army and, when necessary, ancillary services from other community agencies.
  • Monitor beneficiaries to evaluate the effectiveness of the rehabilitation program and adapt plans as needed.
  • Assist in crisis intervention with beneficiaries as necessary.
  • Responsible for hiring and training program staff, including new employee training and ongoing in-service training.
  • Participate in service trainings and local seminars/workshops to enhance professional skills.
  • Manage ongoing beneficiary program orientation and communication of program standards.
  • Work with the director of operations on daily work therapy assignments.
  • Responsible for monitoring program staff utilization of electronic and beneficiary e-files.
  • Develop and implement special projects, programs, and services as assigned by the administrator.
  • Chair the rehabilitation staff meetings and grant meeting.
  • Responsible to develop networking relationships with community agencies and court systems, community education, and encouraging appropriate referrals.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and records required by The Salvation Army policy and administration.
  • Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries and refer to Chaplain/Administrators as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a rehabilitation or counseling setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of The Salvation Army's mission and values.
