Job Summary:

The Tile Shop, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to join our team as an Assistant Manager-In-Training. As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to build, develop, and motivate a sales team to achieve sales goals and create a positive customer experience.
  • Train and coach employees on policies, procedures, and job duties to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Proactively greet customers and develop lasting relationships to drive sales and customer loyalty.
  • Sell tile and related products to exceed customer expectations and achieve sales goals.
  • Learn and use knowledge of all store and warehouse operations to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Lead by example to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Learn the installation process and products to educate customers and provide expert advice.
  • Track established store sales goals and provide regular updates to management.
  • Provide customers with updates on product delivery status and maintain professional standards to protect The Tile Shop brand.
  • Develop schedules for associates and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and use good business practices at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in retail management with a proven track record of success.
  • Previous sales experience with a strong ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team.
  • Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, commission sales environment.
  • Open to learning and growing independently and from feedback.
  • Lead with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a sense of design and ability to put together various styles, colors, and textures.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferred.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Previous experience in a related field, preferred.
