Role Overview:

Imagine a premier engineering environment enhanced by a team of exceptional professionals and cutting-edge technologies, often classified. This role involves coordinating the Preventative Maintenance schedule and identifying necessary materials for maintenance during ship availabilities. You will also maintain and update the PMS deck Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs) and the associated Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) Library for various classes of ships, based on Force Revisions and Advance Change Notices issued by the relevant Navy technical authority.

In this position, you will report any anomalies to technical management and maintain logs of preventative maintenance status as required. Technical Skills Required:

This role necessitates the ability to work from technical manuals, vendor documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings to support the preventative maintenance efforts of the ships. Proficiency in U.S. Navy 3-M Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) policies and NAVSEALOGCEN policies is essential. The position is based in San Diego and may require travel to other domestic and international ports as necessary, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 10%.

Leadership and Mentorship:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting complex engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics, and understanding necessary interfaces.
  • Conducting complex system-level troubleshooting down to the component level.
  • Utilizing schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, and layouts to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
  • Building, calibrating, adjusting, installing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems.

What You Will Experience:
  • Access to advanced technologies that are often classified.
  • Collaboration with a team of innovative thinkers dedicated to exploring future possibilities.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning as new knowledge is discovered.

What You Bring:
  • An Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A strong understanding of the implications of work and the ability to provide applicable solutions.
  • Distinct knowledge of specialized functions and proficiency in interpreting complex specifications, requirements, standards, and practices.

What Distinguishes You:
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment and values team success.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
