Role Summary

Our Facilities Maintenance Technicians play a vital role at Chuze Fitness. They are responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our equipment and facilities, which directly influences member satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will manage preventive maintenance, conduct repairs on fitness apparatus, and collaborate with your facilities team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective communication across departments to stay informed about repair and replacement requirements in member-accessible areas and facility infrastructure.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to oversee work orders for both internal tasks and outsourced contractor services.
  • Employ Building Management System (BMS)/Energy Management System (EMS) to monitor property operations.
  • Coordinate external projects by evaluating pricing and approving contracted work.
  • Inspect and execute preventive maintenance, identifying repair needs and prioritizing critical repairs to minimize disruptions for members.
  • Assist in repairing and maintaining equipment while keeping the Maintenance Log updated.
  • Oversee inventory levels and order new equipment and supplies as necessary.
  • Travel within the region to attend training sessions, departmental meetings, and provide support as required.
  • Exhibit Chuze Kindness while performing tasks in member-facing areas.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner, including managing communications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or a related field.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between properties during work hours.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Essential Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Capability to stand, remain stationary, or move for extended periods.
    • Regular exposure to moving mechanical components.
    • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Frequent exposure to pool chemicals, cleaning agents, and grease/oil.
    • Use of ladders and access to rooftops.
    • Ability to work in a noisy environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS)/Energy Management System (EMS) control systems.
  • Graduation from a technical school or participation in relevant training programs.
