Model Based Systems Engineer II

Contingent upon Contract Award

Overview:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer II to provide essential technical support to NAVWAR.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes advanced methodologies to investigate and resolve complex military system design challenges.
  • Plans, executes, and oversees projects, coordinating the contributions of engineers and technical personnel in fulfilling assigned duties.
  • Assesses the completion of tasks, including system enhancements.
  • Proposes modifications in technical applications.
  • Evaluates system functionalities.
  • Offers technical advice to clients.
  • Collaborates closely with the Configuration Control Board to define and implement procedures for the release of new products throughout their life cycle.
  • Provides guidance on change management and product configuration management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing, analyzing, and interpreting architecture data, as well as developing Systems of Systems enterprise architecture and making design trade-offs, including the application of DODAF architecture principles.
  • A minimum of 3 years of specific experience in architecture design and development aimed at enhancing functionality.
  • At least 3 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and modifying C4ISR architectures, covering capability, operational, services, and system aspects.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products.
Security Clearance:
  • Must possess an Active DoD Secret Clearance and maintain eligibility for higher-level clearance, such as Top-Secret/SCI.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel, less than 10%.
  • If travel involves domestic flights or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials.
Physical Demands:
  • The physical requirements described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Required to use hands for tasks such as handling or feeling; reaching with hands and arms.
  • Repetitive motions may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: The annual pay range is $95,000 - $110,000, based on factors such as position responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market competitiveness.
