Position Summary:
The role of our Maintenance Technicians is vital at Chuze Fitness. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facilities and equipment, which directly influences member satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your duties will include preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and collaboration with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective communication across departments to stay informed about repair and replacement requirements in member-facing areas and facility infrastructure.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to oversee work orders for both internal tasks and outsourced services.
  • Employ Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) to monitor property operations.
  • Coordinate outsourced projects by evaluating pricing and approving contracted work.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance, identifying repair needs and prioritizing critical repairs to minimize disruptions for members.
  • Assist in the repair and upkeep of equipment while maintaining a detailed Maintenance Log.
  • Oversee inventory levels and order new equipment and supplies as necessary.
  • Travel within the region for training sessions, departmental meetings, and to provide support as required.
  • Exhibit Chuze Kindness while performing tasks in member-facing areas.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities promptly, including email management and communication.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or related field.
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between properties as needed.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Willingness to work varied hours and weekends if necessary.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Essential Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Capability to stand, remain stationary, or move for extended periods.
    • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
    • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Regular exposure to pool chemicals, cleaning agents, and grease/oil.
    • Use of ladders and access to rooftops.
    • Ability to work in a noisy environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) control systems.
  • Graduation from a technical school or relevant training.
