Job Summary:

CBTS is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our employees on all aspects of End-User computing digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support on laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and software to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through effective communication and prompt issue resolution.
  • Document solutions to problems and mentor junior team members to ensure knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Prioritize, communicate, triage, and resolve issues in a timely manner to meet business needs.
  • Provide 2nd-level technical support for incidents that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk, both in-person and remotely.
  • Maintain asset and software inventory to ensure accurate tracking and management.
  • Engage IT resources and teams to resolve incidents beyond individual scope or responsibility.
  • Analyze logs within multiple Microsoft applications to resolve user issues and troubleshoot network-related problems.
  • Administer access to applications and maintain utmost confidentiality on all conversations, documents, and information.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of MS Windows desktop operating system deployment experience.
  • 5+ years of Ivanti (or other software distribution tools) experience.
  • Windows 10 desktop operating systems deployment and support experience.
  • Experience in using ITSM systems like ServiceNow.
  • Ability to quickly assess problems and identify solutions.
  • Understanding of desktop group policy objects (GPO).
  • Knowledge on how to re/image a workstation.
  • Remote Support experience.
  • Conflict resolution and management.
  • Working knowledge of MS operating systems and applications.
  • Software Distribution and Patch Management tool experience.
  • Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service.
