Front Desk Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Holiday Inn Express, Auburn Hills, MI. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room assignments, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and register guests, assigning rooms and providing information about hotel services and amenities.
- Issue room keys and escort guests to their rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
- Answer guest inquiries and provide assistance with shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Manage guest accounts, compute bills, and collect payments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Post charges, date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
- Transmit and receive messages using hotel equipment, such as telephones, faxes, and switchboards.
- Understand and enforce hotel credit policies, ensuring accurate accounting and deposits.
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, providing a positive first impression.
- In a lead capacity, take responsibility for assigned employees, assign work, and ensure proper performance.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 months of experience in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
