Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and aesthetics of residential properties. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the quality of apartment homes, communal buildings, and surrounding grounds.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement

  • Implement the Owner's vision in daily operations to align with client expectations.

2. General Maintenance Duties

  • Follow a structured maintenance program to uphold the property's safety and condition.
  • Participate in scheduled inspections as per safety and maintenance guidelines.

3. Emergency Response

  • Provide on-call maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

4. Unit Preparation

  • Conduct maintenance checks and repairs on vacant units to ensure readiness for new residents.
  • Assist in the painting and appliance installation/removal processes.

5. Equipment Management

  • Maintain and secure all maintenance tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

6. Compliance and Professionalism

  • Adhere to community regulations and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with residents and vendors.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in residential settings.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including wearing necessary safety equipment.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
