Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gerber. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and structures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair facilities and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
  • Respond to emergency situations and contain damage to minimize downtime.
  • Manage facility equipment through building management systems and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on equipment and systems, including ammonia refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and building management systems.
  • Utilize technical materials to troubleshoot and maintain systems, including equipment manuals, safety materials, and system drawings.
  • Cross-train with other maintenance technicians to expand skills and knowledge.
  • Perform duties associated with area relocations and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records according to Nestle standards.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience, with experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of Card Access, CCTV, and Building Management Systems preferred.
  • Effective communication, reading, and writing skills, as well as proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications and licenses.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
