Position Title: Surgical Research Grants Coordinator

Organization: Commonwealth of Virginia

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking dedicated professionals to enhance our team in supporting the Division of Surgical Sciences and advancing our research initiatives. As a member of the Grants and Contracts team, you will be instrumental in assisting our clinician scientists with the complexities of grants and contracts management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Advise faculty on grant submissions and funding agency regulations.
  • Gather and structure data for grant proposals and reporting.
  • Develop budgets in compliance with specific sponsor requirements.
  • Manage the administration of internally funded research grants.
  • Liaise with external funding organizations.
  • Mentor and oversee staff involved in grants and contracts.
  • Support the oversight of research space utilization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Coordinator: High school diploma
  • Specialist: Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience.
  • Administrator: Bachelor's degree, three years of experience, and CRA certification preferred.
  • Senior Administrator: Bachelor's degree, five years of experience, and CRA certification preferred.
