Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager for Money Market Mutual Fund Sweep, you will take on the role of the 'CEO' for your product at SVB. Your responsibilities will encompass product discovery, strategic planning, delivery, and marketing throughout the product lifecycle.

Product Managers play a crucial role in ensuring their offerings align with business strategies, deliver valuable features to clients, identify innovative market opportunities, and monitor progress through forecasts, KPIs, and KRIs.

This senior position may require mentoring junior team members in various contexts and leading significant strategic initiatives with minimal oversight. You will be expected to operate independently and make critical decisions that influence business outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the product owner to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap to achieve bank objectives and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Developing product strategies based on a thorough understanding of money market mutual funds, sweep services, competitive trends, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Creating product roadmaps informed by defined strategies, evolving technology landscapes, client needs, and potential initiatives' benefits and impacts.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient product operations and successful execution of projects and go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with vendors, counterparties, and fund providers through regular communication on market dynamics and conducting periodic due diligence.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in money market mutual funds and sweep functionalities, providing insights to sales and customer focus groups.
  • Developing business cases for initiatives that clearly articulate value and ROI, incorporating success metrics and benchmarking.
  • Working with Finance, Risk, and Reporting teams to monitor product performance, key risk indicators, and forecasting models.
  • Reviewing and recommending adjustments to product pricing and fee structures in response to competitive market conditions.
  • Updating product documentation, client agreements, and internal policies while optimizing workflows where possible.
  • Collaborating proactively with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Account Management, Asset Management, Operations, Legal, and Sales.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (HS or GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience).

6+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Management Consulting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Bank Investment Sweeps, Money Market Mutual Funds, Deposit Product Management, or Liquidity Product Management.
  • MBA, CTP, and/or CFA are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including structuring complex issues, creative thinking, hypothesis testing, and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills; capable of managing multiple work streams independently.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in data aggregation.
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills, with a focus on collaboration and consulting.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and familiarity with various business models.
  • Ability to lead and inspire both formal and informal teams to meet tight deadlines and navigate complex projects.
  • Proficient in managing senior-level discussions and negotiations with external partners.
