Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process guest check-ins, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Manage guest payments, including processing room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Process guest check-outs, including resolving any late or disputed charges.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Provide guests with directions and information about the property and local area.
  • Run daily reports, including tracking arrivals and departures, and identifying any special requests.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks.
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior work experience or supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
