Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Merchant Import Operations to lead our Direct Imports area and drive the accelerated expansion of our global sourcing strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high-quality relationships with international suppliers, developing and executing a comprehensive product development roadmap, and overseeing the quality control process to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize the end-to-end import order process and drive process improvements
  • Develop and manage the product development roadmap, including identifying and establishing relationships with international suppliers
  • Oversee the quality control process, including inspections, testing, and audits of suppliers
  • Establish and maintain high-performance standards, measure and manage performance, and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams, including Merchants, Supply Chain, and IT
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of operations management experience
  • 15+ years of experience leading teams of 10 or more
  • 5+ years of merchandising Import experience required
  • Strong analytical skills with bias towards fact-based problem solving, framing, and decision making
  • Positive leadership and team building skills, including coaching, training, and collaboration
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present and support a point of view to senior leadership
