Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of

Patient Admissions Coordinator:

Role Responsibilities:


Provide occasional assistance to Bedboard Coordinators by addressing requests for admissions, alerts, external transfers, and appropriate bed assignments utilizing the electronic bed board.

Conduct audits and analyze various workflows and activities within the Admissions department.

Engage in the development and delivery of training as required.

Collect deposits for private room accommodations and manage payments related to patient financial services.

Assist healthcare providers in completing the New York State death certificate and related consents.


Generate appropriate lists to determine correct admission times in accordance with operating room scheduling guidelines and contact patients to inform them of their admission times.

Thoroughly clarify inpatient admission documents and procedures to secure necessary signatures from patients.

Support the acquisition and review of authorizations and charts for surgical cases.

Essential Qualifications:
1-2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment, with familiarity in medical terminology and computer proficiency.

Core Competencies:
Exceptional customer service skills

Requires strong attention to detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Empathy and understanding are essential to address the needs of our patient population.

Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.

This position is 100% onsite.
