Company Overview: Acara Solutions, an Aleron Company, is seeking a Materials Development Engineer for a leading Solar Manufacturing organization.

Position Overview:

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year, with expected working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development of Innovative Materials:

Lead the research and introduction of new materials and technologies, including the formulation of project proposals, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and preparing implementation reports. You will also drive technological innovation initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

2. Establishment of Technical Standards:

Formulate and enhance technical standards for new materials, ensuring continuous improvement based on real-world applications. Conduct analyses of reliability testing methodologies and emerging trends in material development.

3. Anomaly Resolution:

Support the timely resolution of material-related issues reported by production lines or clients, providing expert solutions. Collaborate with production and planning teams to assess and adjust standards for non-conforming materials.

4. Technical Support for Projects:

Provide technical assessments for materials and specifications involved in bidding processes, contract negotiations, and order evaluations.

5. Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement:

Drive initiatives aimed at optimizing existing materials and processes, enhancing production technologies, and achieving cost reduction targets. Lead projects focused on the implementation of new technologies and materials to minimize BOM costs.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in materials science, physics, optical information, semiconductors, or related fields.

Certifications: Intermediate engineering certification or higher; additional relevant certifications are advantageous.

Experience and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of technology enhancement processes and the introduction of new technologies. Proven ability to lead teams in addressing technical challenges and driving innovation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Office software, particularly PowerPoint, and solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential. Proficiency in English is preferred.
