Job Summary

Western Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering consulting firm, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting construction materials to ensure quality control and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing and inspection of construction materials, including soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt, in a laboratory setting and on construction job sites.
  • Discuss test results with clients' on-site representatives.
  • Prepare daily reports on WT project-specific activities.
Requirements
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50 lbs. and 80 lbs. periodically.
  • Strong communication and detailed writing skills.
  • Basic math and writing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Availability to work irregular hours and on weekends.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug screening.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous construction materials testing experience required and current ATTI, ICC, and/or ACI certifications or equivalents.
Certifications
  • ACI - American Concrete Institute.
  • ICC - International Code Council.
  • CWI - Certified Welding Inspector.
  • NICET - National Institution for Certification in Engineering Technologies.
  • ATTI - Arizona Technical Testing Institute.
