Position Overview
The Manager of SEC Financial Reporting is tasked with the completion, aggregation, and submission of all essential documentation, analyses, and reports required by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

This role involves overseeing a team to meet departmental objectives while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support team members in the preparation of all SEC financial submissions in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment of accounting matters and financial transactions to ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and SEC guidelines, while aiding in the adoption of new accounting standards and interpretations.
  • Establish accounting processes to facilitate new business initiatives and support organizational growth.
  • Oversee the implementation of US GAAP accounting standards in international subsidiaries.
  • Act as a liaison with various functions and divisions outside the corporate accounting and reporting team regarding accounting and reporting issues, including those related to foreign subsidiaries, corporate taxation, and investor relations.
  • Manage complex ongoing accounting tasks, such as stock-based compensation and earnings per share calculations.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements in the efficiency and precision of the external reporting process.
  • Lead special projects and unique analyses associated with acquisitions, business development, financing transactions, and other corporate initiatives.
  • Participate in various special projects and technical accounting evaluations.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and manage team members to ensure that priorities and deliverables are achieved.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Accountability for achieving goals and maintaining standards.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in personal and professional conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively across all organizational levels, including with suppliers and external clients.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is preferred.
