Recycling Operations Facility Supervisor
Core Objective: Improve operational productivity and effectiveness while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, alongside managing inventory, logistics, and facility performance.
Key Duties:
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Work in conjunction with Regional Safety Engineers and Environmental Managers to uphold safety and environmental standards.
- Track and report on health and safety initiatives, corrective measures, and safety conditions.
- Ensure a secure working environment for all employees, clients, and visitors.
Operational Management:
- Supervise daily operations, maintenance, and production to achieve targets and facility objectives.
- Promote ongoing enhancements in facility operations.
- Analyze and validate operational data and maintenance protocols.
Equipment Oversight:
- Oversee equipment requirements and maintenance schedules.
- Guarantee the effective functioning of production machinery.
Inventory Management & Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate with Commercial and Transportation Departments to manage material quotas and transfers.
- Maintain precise inventory records and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Establish and manage a Quality Assurance program, addressing non-compliant materials and customer feedback.
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Operate within budget limitations and propose capital investments based on operational necessities and growth.
Administrative Oversight:
- Lead and manage personnel, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and compliance with HR policies and union agreements.
Project Management:
- Manage additional projects as assigned.
Internal Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and report any operational challenges or policy breaches.
- Supervise the completion of internal control assessments.
Supervisory Duties:
- Directly oversee Recycling Operations Facility Supervisors and both union and non-union hourly staff.
