The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role within our Corporate Accounting division, overseeing a range of financial activities that ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and record journal entries with precision

• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations

• Adhere to the established chart of accounts

• Facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes

• Utilize analytical skills to assess current financial conditions, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and various reports

• Propose financial strategies by evaluating accounting alternatives

• Detect discrepancies and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and cost management

• Review and suggest enhancements to accounting systems and procedures, collaborating with management and cross-functional teams

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and supplementary schedules

• Develop and document business processes to ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by researching existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions

• Generate specialized financial reports as required by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends

Qualifications

• A university degree (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant experience is required

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities to achieve objectives

• High ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct

The Senior Accountant will be a vital member of our Corporate Accounting team, focusing on Reporting and Compliance. Key duties include:

  • Support for global account reconciliations
  • Standardization of procure-to-pay account processes
  • Analysis of balance sheet and P&L fluctuations
  • Reporting on global ROU assets
