Role Overview: The Chief Financial Strategist is accountable for all financial operations and responsibilities for one or more of Attivo's clients, serving as a vital member of their management team.

The Chief Financial Strategist leads engagements and oversees our client company's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, systems, budgeting, and forecasting.

You should be a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, startup settings.

While the position allows for remote work, we prefer candidates located in major metropolitan areas. Some travel for in-person company events may be necessary, approximately 2-3 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive management team, and investors.
  • Present financial and operational performance analyses to the CEO, management team, and Board of Directors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting teams, both at Attivo and client organizations.
  • Ensure effective internal financial controls and oversee the preparation of all financial reports.
  • Drive financial forecasting and planning for the company.
  • Prepare financial and operational analyses to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure appropriate cash flow for the company's activities.
  • Analyze operations to identify efficiencies and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate across functions to develop and share financial and business intelligence.
  • Identify and manage risks to the company's financial and business health.
  • Review major contracts for completeness and risk management.
  • Assist with equity and debt financing initiatives.
  • Manage treasury functions for optimal returns and safety.
  • Oversee tax compliance and audit processes.
  • Support special projects as assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to strategize and solve complex problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis, modeling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, including multitasking and prioritization.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; MBA/CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years in senior financial leadership roles, including 5 years as VP Finance or CFO.
  • At least 5 years of experience in venture-backed, emerging growth companies.
  • Experience in fast-paced technology or professional services sectors.
  • Experience or interest in fintech, consumer packaged goods, or Web3 is highly desirable.

Compensation: Attivo offers a competitive salary along with bonuses and opportunities for advancement. The salary range for the Chief Financial Strategist position is approximately $225,000 to $275,000 per year, plus bonuses.

Full-time employees enjoy benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, participation in flexible spending accounts and 401(k), three weeks of PTO, and optional life and disability insurance.
