Overview
The Chief Growth Officer's primary objective is to facilitate and steer the expansion of the Kadena ecosystem through strategic foresight and well-considered decisions.

This position will collaborate closely with the Business Development and Strategy teams to remain informed about ongoing and upcoming Kadena advancements.

This insight is expected to be transformed into clear and actionable business and strategic plans that will ultimately elevate Kadena and its ecosystem to the forefront of the cryptocurrency industry.

The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in existing Kadena methodologies and corporate culture, promoting these values throughout the ecosystem.

As innovative projects emerge, there may be a necessity to pivot towards nurturing, managing, and scaling these ventures.

Such initiatives encompass, but are not limited to, ecosystem investment strategies and other strategic ventures that may require direct involvement and/or staffing from Kadena personnel.

The Kadena ecosystem is poised for rapid and dynamic growth in the forthcoming years, necessitating a candidate who is adept at swiftly seizing emerging opportunities and prepared to undertake roles and responsibilities that best enhance ecosystem development.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with Kadena's executive team to refine business strategies.
- Establish and oversee a comprehensive budget for the Business Development division.
- Manage the Kadena grants initiative, aiming for over $10M in annual disbursements.
- Identify and cultivate key partnerships for Kadena.
- Actively recruit, mentor, and develop members of the Business Development team, ensuring the team meets its performance targets (lead generation, qualifications, opportunities).
- Build and maintain robust relationships while actively seeking new business prospects.
- Address any business or operational requirements that may arise within Kadena or its associated companies.
- Collaborate with the marketing department for community engagement and communications.
- Work alongside the engineering department for technical assessments of grants and partnerships.
- Maintain current documentation of goal progress and timelines.
- Liaise with Kadena ecosystem companies to support their business and managerial needs.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial and/or business development.
- 5+ years of experience in complex business operations and strategic planning.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring individuals in business and management practices.
- Proficiency in creating institutional-grade spreadsheets and presentations.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency is a significant advantage.
- A passion for continuous improvement and producing high-quality business documents for both internal and external use.
- A B.S. or M.S. in Business or Finance is preferred.
