Industrial Sales Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Industrial Sales Representative to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales and profit goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet their requirements
- Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to pursue them
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and improve customer relationships
Requirements
- 1+ year of outside industrial sales experience or 2+ years of customer service/inside sales experience in industrial supply/distribution
- Ability to develop new business and build repeat customer relationships
- Mechanical aptitude, self-starter with a strong desire to succeed, and sense of humor
- Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar
- Computer skills and knowledge, including Excel
- Power transmission, hydraulics, and/or bearings product experience preferred
- Industrial sales experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record (MVR)
